STAND
for the Protection of Children and Youth

STAND for the Protection of Children and Youth is a program of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

All volunteers who work with minors at Church of the Resurrection and Resurrection/St. Paul School are required to complete STAND certification before beginning their volunteer service.   To be certified,  you must submit a volunteer application with references & sucessfully complete a background check & online STAND training.  Also, your refernces must be contacted by the screening coordinator.

The volunteer application, background screening consent form and *driving check consent forms are available online at  http://www.archbalt.org/STAND/volunteers.cfm  or you may obtain a packet from the parish or school office.  Please note that the driving check is only needed if you plan to drive youth as part of your volunteer service.

On line STAND training is now available. The user name: Resurrection and the password: archbalt. Click here  to begin the training.  The on line course takes approximately 1 1/2 hours to complete and you should print a certificate of completion. The certificate of completion should be returned to the church or school along with your volunteer forms. STAND volunteer application and criminal background check forms can be found at:  http://www.archbalt.org/STAND/volunteers.cfm 

Worthy of the Call Training for teens ages 14-17

There is also specific training for volunteers ages 14-17. The name of this program is Worthy of the Call. Training for this age group is done as necessary. These dates are also published in the bulletin.  Please plan to arrive 5 minutes before the starting time to sign in and fill out some paperwork. Training sessions start on time as to be respectful of everyone's busy schedule. If you arrive late you may have to repeat the training.
