HOME RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM

The Home Program offers families the prospect of studying and sharing together their faith development. Materials are provided that habe been developed to be used at home and are appropriate for children and adults. It has themed oriented sessions and ideas for activities and discussion for the whole family.

Those families registered in the Home Program are required to:

  • Attend the Parent Orientation Meeting at the beginning of each school year.
  • Attend the 4 Family Program Gatherings- At least one parent/guardian must attend with child(ren)- Gathering provides an opportunity to gather as a community to share together their faith development. All Meetings are Thursdays, 6:30 PM-8:00 PM.
  • Plan 1 of 4 Family Gatherings, which each family helps plan, set up, implement and clean up.
  • Complete a log of dates and time spent on religious education.
  • Complete 30 Parent Lesson Summaries
  • Complete 30 Reflection Sheets and/or Chapter Reviews for each child.
  • Complete 2 on-going Social Justice Service Projects, which the entire family participates in the project.

The remaining Parent Planning Sessions for the 2012-2013 School Year are:

November 29th, February 7th, and April 18th

The remaining Family Gatherings for the 2012-2013 School Year are:

December 13th, February 21st and May 2nd.
