ACTS - Men’s Retreats

 

What is ACTS?

ACTS is an acronym for Adoration, Community, Theology and Service. Our ACTS retreats help us strengthen our faith, renew ourselves spiritually, build lasting friendships, and serve our parish. The ACTS retreat is presented by lay men and spiritual direction is provided by clergy. All men age 18 or older are invited to attend.

This men’s retreat is unique in that The Church of the Resurrection is the host and sponsoring church with coordination and support provided by St. Louis parish. First consideration for retreatants will be given to current members of the Church of the Resurrection.

When is the Retreat?

The retreat begins Thursday evening, August 24th, with check-in between 5:45 – 6:15 pm at Church of the Resurrection, 3175 Paulskirk Drive, Ellicott City, 21042. Transportation to Bon Secours Spiritual Center will be provided as well as a light meal upon arrival. We return to Church of the Resurrection on Sunday, August 27th, for the 12:00 noon Mass, with a reception following Mass. Family members and friends are invited and encouraged to attend both the Mass and reception.

The deadline for registration is August 10, 2017. Full refund if cancellation is made on or before August 10th. No refund can be guaranteed after August 10, 2017.

You will receive a letter 10 to 14 days prior to the retreat detailing the items you will need to bring with you. If you need any information or have questions please contact us at one of the numbers listed above.

How much does it Cost?

The cost of the retreat is $350. To register, print and complete the form that will be posted in the near future. Then, send a deposit of $200 (payable to Church of the Resurrection-ACTS) to Church of the Resurrection –Men’s ACTS Retreat. C/O Marty Bode. 3175 Paulskirk Drive, Ellicott City, MD 21042. The remaining balance is due on or before the Thursday evening check-in on February 9th.

Please Note: Financial difficulties should not prevent anyone from attending the retreat. If you have financial concerns, contact the retreat director when you submit your application.
